My new School

Hey everyone, so its like the fifth day in UCLA right now and let me say that its just awesome. Even though its been busy like hell!! Im taking 8 units this summer, so not much time to surf, except probably during the weekends. OH so lets talk about my room mates. Im sharing my dorm with two guys. One's from Italy and the other's from China. For some reason or another, the chinese dude doesnt believe that im part chinese. Oh, maybe its the fact that i speak terribly broken mandarin. The other Italian dude is really cool and helpful, except for the fact that he hates our next door neighbour....by the way, the neighbours are french. Met a few friends...turkish, Koreans, Japaneses, Chinese, Swiss, yea and of cos Americans... yea and i met a couple of singapore NTU girls who are doing their masters in UCLA. ALl right, this kinda sums up my 1st week here. Take care people, especially to my friends in my previous school.love ya'all.

By the way,i was at the US premiere of Transformers in Westwoodm CA...be jealous people=)

My 1st post and my Japan Trip!!

All right guys...this is officially my 1st time in which im posting my life out in full view of the world. Yea, thats right...im starting to blog. Yes I know that im not a big fan of blogs but i guess its the best way in which i can stay in contact with my family and friends while im away in LA.

Im currently in Changi Airport right now, posting this entry up in my trusty old lappie. My flight from Tokyo was delayed so I ended up having to stay in the Terminal for my next flight out to Los Angeles. Its a pretty surreal feeling travelling alone..its daunting yet exciting!! I am looking forward to life in a new country..new environment, new life!! Maybe a fresh start for me after all the mistakes in the past...UCLA here I come in 26 short hours!!!

My trip to Japan has been an enriching for me personally. At first, I thought that my family and I were just joining a tour group, u know the usual stuff..But I was surprised to learn that Im gonna visit the area Akiri for a few days first, where my mum spent her childhood at. Basically, she wants me to stay in touch with my Japanese roots. She claimed to me that Akiri is the area known to 'produce' the most beautiful women in Japan...yea right!!! Oh well, I was proven wrong because after a check with the tour guide, She was right. I visited some aunties whom i never thought exist and they were really awseome. I feel so obliged to at least retain a certain aspect of Japanese in me and learn to love the language..I love Japan.

The rest of my trip was great as well...Hokkaido is definitely worth visiting...do come at least once in your life. The lavender blossoming is truely a sight to behold...there are many other sights to visit but I just cant describe them all...

All right...I shall stop here now. I've got a plane to catch. Take care people. I do miss all my friends in Singapore.
